Overview
The Shreveport Convention Center can accommodate virtually any event. The center is equipped with a 100,000-square-foot exhibition hall, a 20,000-square-foot ballroom and up to 10 meeting rooms that can serve over 14,000 attendees.
We provided structural design services to Slack Alost Architecture for the facility, which also features a 100-foot skybridge that connects the center to a 1,200-car parking garage.
Highlights
- The building’s structure sits on a concrete pile foundation and consists of a structural steel frame.
- The exterior of the building is clad in glass fiber reinforced concrete with a sandblasted texture.
- We also provided curtain wall consulting services to the architect, assisting with the design development, specifications and the development of custom anchorages for curtain wall mullions.
