Overview
Originally constructed as a conventional office building in the late 1990s, the FBI Field Office Complex in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is located in Saint Francis county on the shores of Lake Michigan.
We provided protective design services to Hammel, Green and Abrahamson for the field office, which opened in 2016.
Highlights
- The primary goals of the project were to renovate the office building and construct a new one-story addition adjacent to it to meet the FBI programming requirements.
- As part of these requirements, we designed a new visitor screening facility, a large covered parking structure and miscellaneous rooftop, and ground-level screen wall enclosures.
- The office building was gut renovated with varied structural modifications completed to support the modernization of the building systems.
- Structural modifications and screen wall enclosures were designed to incorporate new programmatic needs, including new floor penetrations, elevator cores, and new mechanical equipment.
